Tesla Studios
Photographic Collections
MAXILAB retains this valuable collection. The collection dated from 1955 was owned by several proprietors.Mr Lampe, renowned for his early studio works in Wanganui, started TESLA Studios. Mr Brent then purchased this studio and in 1984 Leigh Mitchel-Anyon bought the studio from Mr Brent. In 1995 Leigh Split the collection retaining the earlier glass plates and large format film and sold the rest of the collection to Stuart Crawford. The collection and MAXILAB was purchased off Stewart Crawford in May 2003 by Ian Jones MAXILAB photo film & digital. Stewart Crawfords studio, including: Tesla Crawford, House of Crawford and Stewart Crawford Photographer; was purchased by Ian Jones of MAXILAB.
